Our Last Pulmonologist Visit

Today was Abby's last visit to her pulmonologist for the year. She goes to get her monthly RSV vaccine and I absolutely love the office. They are so wonderful, and it gives me some peace of mind to have yet another set of eyes watching her. She is a candidate to get the vaccine next year, since she was born in December, so hopefully we'll see them again.

The good news is...she weighed in at 12 lbs! It looks like our endless shoving of high calorie formula down her throat is working. Phew! They also checked her blood oxygenation levels for me, and the numbers looked great. High 70s and a high of 82. This is great news, since he readings were so low at our last cardiologist visit. It gives me great hope that we can wait just a little longer before she needs the next surgery.

The doctor also took a look in her ears and listened to her lungs for me since she's had awful congestion the past few days. It's been very stressful. She's not eating or sleeping well, and generally pretty cranky, which is not like her at all. She is usually a very happy, easy-going baby. The doctor thinks it has to do with our home oxygen set up and gave us some ideas how to remedy it. Hopefully those ideas will work soon and I can have my happy baby back!

Looks like all your prayers and good thoughts are working! Keep them coming!

Praise God! We will continue to pray that her oxygen levels stay higher and that she gets back to being a happy baby! After the second surgery, Gavin was a thousand times happier than before. Hope you are doing well!
