Roller Coaster Few Days

But we're going home today! We've been driving back and forth, trying to spend enough time with Anna, and trying to figure out Abby's rhythm problems. We've been busy.
They are discharging her today! However, the rhythm issue is very serious, and the doctors want to keep a close eye on it. As a result, we are going home with a crazy heart monitor where we can't see any data, but it relays through the phone line in real time and someone else will watch to make sure she doesn't fall into a dangerous rhythm. It has been very scary, as the rhythm issue seems to be much more serious than first thought. They will monitor her 24/7 for two weeks, and then evaluate where she is.
The only draw back to the moniotr is that it interfers with our DSL line. As a result we will have no internet for at least two weeks. Also, we can't have the answering machine hooked up, and we are most likely just going to unplug the phone. So if you need us, cell ohones will be it.
As far as the allergies go, we are keeping her on just breastmilk for about 5 more days. If she keeps having blood, we'll try hypoallergenic formula. The volume of breastmilk she needs to maintain her weight is pretty high, so we also have to take her for weekly weigh ins at the doctor to make sure she is adequetly gaining weight.
We're very nervous, but excited, to take her home. The journy has really just begun. Thank you to everyone for all your thoughs and prayers. They have lifted us up during this difficult time, and we can't wait for you all to meet Abby!

I'm so sorry you have had some scary moments lately. I hope they can figure out the problem and correct it. I will keep her in my prayers.

Yay! For going home though. Finally you will all be in the same place. Hope things continue to get better.

I have missed you and was gettign about you all. I'm sure you will be busy, but you know I am home 24/7 and can talk anytime. I am currently off work for a shoulder injury so I will be home.

Hugs, Stephanie
