Giving Thanks

This was Abby's first Thanksgiving. Just a year ago, everything seemed so uncertain. We did not know how things would go once Abby was born. We did not know what a fighter she'd be. We did not know the strength we had.

What a difference a year makes.

This Thanksgiving we have so much to be thankful for.

We are thankful for our amazing friends and family who continue to lift us up and help us in every moment of need.

We are thankful that we live so near a world class cardiac facility, and we are thankful that Abby has such amazing and caring doctors taking care of her.

We are thankful that Anna is healthy, and doing all the things a two year should be doing. Good and bad.

But most of all, we are thankful for every single day we get to spend with Abby. She is pure joy and every day we get with her is truly a blessing.

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by your loved ones, and that next year finds us all just as thankful as we are today.

Alison, I am so happy to hear that Abby is doing well. I know I don't check in often enough, but you and your girls are often in my thoughts.
