Milestones

In the time since her last cath, Abby's personality has really come to life. She has reached some major milestones, and has become such a little person.

Please indulge my bragging:

-Abby's now rolling all over the place. Both directions. She's never where I leave her anymore.

-She babbling up a storm. So far, just a lot of "mamamamama" Since Anna always stuck to "dada" and later "daddy", it's nice to hear a "mama" now.

-She's added Cheerios to her diet. She can pick them up and gum them to death.

-She started waving when people wave to her.

-She can now sit unassisted & bear weight on her legs for a few seconds at a time.

Abby continues to amaze us every single day. Her therapists are thrilled with how she's doing, and so are we. Milestones are a celebration with any child. However, with Abby, they are extra special.

Next Sunday we have the Heart Strides Walk at Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA. A bunch of our family and friends are joining us in support of Abby and the Children's Heart Foundation. Most of us are spending the night before down there, with our babies and toddlers in tow. It's going to be a total zoo. We can't wait! Stay tuned for pictures.

On Tuesday, 10/2, we have visit with the cardiologist. Dr. Castro started Abby on a blood pressure medication a few weeks ago to make it easier for her heart to function, so keep your fingers crossed that all looks good with the new medicine, and that all her arteries remain free and clear as they continue to heal from the work the great doctors at CHOP have done.
