Abigail Jane was born at 1:18 am on December 20th at 7 lbs. 4 oz.
She just didn't feel like waiting for the induction in the morning. Bryan and I had already driven to Philly to spend the night before the sceduled induction in a hotel next to the hospital. We went out for a fabulous dinner and settled in for a good nights rest. I woke up with strong contractions and after waiting 30 minutes for the valet to get our car, rushed over to HUP where Abby was born within 15 min. It was seriously fast, and once again, just like with Anna, there was no time for an epidural.
The folks from CHOP took her right away. We didn't get to hold her or hardly see her. It was hard, but we know it's for the best. After they got her cleaned up and got all her lines inserted for medication, they brought her by my recovery room so we could see her.
She looks perfect! We have been spending time with her over at the CICU as much as we can.
