Doing Great

So far, so good. Abby is doing great and Anna is getting used to having a younger sister. Abby has been seeing her local cardiologist regularly, and Dr. Castro says the repair and the shunt are "beautiful". Both girls have had a lingering cold and runny nose. Abby has been getting an RSV vaccination, and the nurses at CHOP told us that most of these kids end up back in the hospital, not for cardiac reasons, but because of RSV. So, we have to be very careful about Abby getting sick. I'm guessing we'll be pretty shut in this winter. The congestion has been making sleep a bit tough for Abby. She sounds like a little Gremlin in our room! She is giving us 4 hour stretches though, so we're doing OK.

I don't plan on updating the blog too often at this point. We intended for it to mostly be a way for us to keep in touch from Philly. I will update if there is news, and post some pictures here and there. Abby's next surgery should be sometime between April and June, and we will most definitely update as that date gets closer.

Thank you all so much for all the love and prayers for Abby. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.
