Merry Christmas

Abby is having a wonderful first Christmas this morning. When we went to see her, Santa had visited in the night, bringing her gifts and a beautiful hand knit blanket. Then, Santa came by in person for a visit and pictures. CHOP does a wonderful job making the holiday special for the kids that are here. It's really very touching.
Abby is doing well. Her incision is a bit angry, and they may start her on some antibiotics, but other than that she is doing great. They have moved her from continuous feeding, to more bundled feeds. They tried a bottle with her last night. She sucked great, but didn't actually eat anything. Everyone keeps warning us that eating will be greatest hurdle.
The nurse last night let us hold Abby for awhile, and we should be able to hold her today as well. They are planning on removing the lines in her umbilical cord, which means we'll be holding her a lot more from here on out. That is the best Christmas present ever.
Bryan and I are spending the morning here with Abby, and then going over to Manalapan to meet up with Anna. I can't wait to see her! I hope you are all having a very Merry Christmas!

Many blessings to you and Abby. What a strong little trooper, I pray that she gets over these hurdles and you can hold her in your arms all the time very soon.

Merry Christmas Bryan, Alison, and Abby. It sounds like you had a very nice Christmas morning. You were greatly missed last night at Barb and Kents and we can't wait to have you all home. Anna looked so beautiful in her Christmas dress and she was so much fun. I have some great pictures I will send you. As always we are thinking about you and praying for you.
Love,
Holly
