Happy Hearts Day

Valentine's Day has been named Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day. It's A Day for Hearts. A Day for Abby.

Valentine's Day has never been a big deal for me & Bryan, but since Abby was born, it means something totally different to us.

It's been awhile since I updated on Abby. Things are busy around here! Since her birthday Abby has been doing great. She is pulling up cruising all around the house, and is "this close" to walking.

We continue to struggle with Abby eating enough, but she continues to gain weight, which is what really counts.

Abby goes to CHOP next month for a sedated ECHO and full developmental work-up as part of one of the studies she is enrolled in. It should be interesting to see how she does and what they think of her. We think she's doing great!

Overall things are good here. I have my moments where her health weighs heavy on my mind, but those are outnumbered these days by the moments where she is full of smiles and busy amazing me with how far she's come.

Happy Hearts Day everyone!
